How did I get here?
This all started because I really love food. And I really love learning. But there's more.
Teaching is built into my nature and is present in all I do. A life-long educator, I have taught professionally at all levels from Kindergarten through to University. I love to share with churches in Sunday services or by leading small groups.
I am passionate for theology and food. I ground my study in social history and work collaboratively with methods from anthropology and other Humanities disciplines. I pursue the intersection between disciplines; there is a depth of meaning to be found both in the areas of overlap and in the gaps revealed by interdisciplinary study.
I am ardent in support of art in all forms, performed and visual. Reflection on my creative outlets influences how I teach. I pursue academic excellence and look to expert educators for best practice. I excel at curating and directing projects, including producing church music performances and renovating houses. My life-long involvement in Christian community benefits from these skills and experiences.
Oh, and did I mention? I really love to cook.
